What's up with the barometer? Conditions that drop barometer readings below 29.7 inches of mercury usually mean bad fishing. 29.7 - 29.8 make for good fishing 30.4 - 31.2 are also good. Any thing above that, drops to the bad zone. It is said that the best fishing and hunting can be found with readings between 29.8 and 30.4 inches of mercury.
